Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. We have an exciting opportunity for a band 5 Staff Nurse on a one year fixed term contract to join our experienced and motivated workforce on the Cardiac Day Case Unit. Our team work closely with the Cardiology Catheter Labs within the Lancashire Cardiac Centre

Our team admit, recover and safely discharge the elective Cardiology patients requiring one of the below procedures. 

  • Coronary Angiograms
  • Coronary Angioplasty
  • Electrophysiology Studies
  • Atrial Fibrillation Ablation
  • Cardioversions
  • Pacemakers
  • Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD)
  • Transoesophageal Echocardiogram (TOE)
  • Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI)
  • Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) closure
  • Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) closure
  • Left Atrial Appendage Occlusions

This  position is to cover maternity leave.  You can expect from our experienced team of nurses the support and learning environment to flourish in your new role should you be successful.
