Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients. We employ more than 6,500 staff, have approximately 900 beds and have a planned turnover in excess of £410m for 2017/2018.

We are an adult team that spans acute and community work and offer opportunities to learn and develop skills in a supportive environment
Within the acute rotation you will experience medical and surgical rotations with the chance to work with specialist colleagues in the areas of critical care, adult cystic fibrosis, renal , and head and neck cancer . Blackpool Teaching Hospital is also the cardio thoracic and haematology regional tertiary centre. This post will offer the successful applicant the opportunity to experience time in all of these areas with support from the team.
In the community you will work with long term conditions such as diabetes , C.O.P.D., gastroenterology, and cardiac as well as working with the specialist weight management multi-disciplinary team.
We are passionate about preventing and treating malnutrition in all settings.
We provide training for a variety of health colleagues and are active in student training.
We pride ourselves on our friendliness, welcoming attitude and strong team spirit. We have excellent clerical and clinical support in both teams.
