Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Accounts Receivable Supervisor with a strong focus on debt reduction to join the Accounts Receivable team within the Finance Directorate.

The team provides an income/credit management and control service to the Trust and also provides financial debt and governance advice to all Clinical and Corporate Directorates.

The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, forward thinking and flexible individual, with minimum qualifications of GCE/GCSE in Maths and English. Possession of the AAT qualification/part qualification would be an advantage. Candidates must possess excellent communication, influencing and organisational skills and have experience of Accounts Receivable staff management. Excellent spread-sheet skills and experience of financial ledgers and reporting systems are fundamental to the role. A working knowledge of current VAT regulations, particularly relating to the NHS environment, would also be an advantage.

The role is varied and challenging, with the ability to quickly adapt to change and respond to tight deadlines being crucial. Previous experience of the NHS is desirable but not essential.
