Home Oxygen Service Lead – Band 7

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated registered nurse or registered physiotherapist whom is passionate and committed to delivering safe and effective care to their patients.  Potential candidates will require specialist knowledge and experience, drive and vision to lead the Home Oxygen Service – Assessment & Review (HOS-AR).

The HOS-AR team at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals provides their service to adult patients who are registered at a GP surgery on the Fylde Coast.  As a team, we provide highly specialised, expert assessment and review of patients requiring home oxygen therapy in primary, community & secondary care environments.  This involves education for patients, relatives and health care professionals.

The HOS-AR team also works very closely with the Respiratory Nurse Specialist team in providing home oxygen assessment for the inpatients it reviews.  Experience working within a Home Oxygen service is essential.

The successful applicant will be required to work as an autonomous practitioner, leading a team & providing support and direction to colleagues across the Fylde Coast.  Support will be given by the Clinical Lead, where needed.  Applicants should be currently working at a Band 6 level or above, with a respiratory qualification at level 6 or higher, or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, learning or experience.
