SPECIALIST NURSE - MEDICINES MANAGEMENT ( 8 month secondment)

Do you see the promotion of patient safety as a key priority? 

An eight month secondment opportunity has arisen within the pharmacy department for a nurse with a genuine interest in patient safety to contribute to the Medicines Management agenda Trust wide.

Working closely with the Lead Pharmacist – Risk Management you will ensure that risk management systems are embedded and good medicines management practice is evident at all levels within the Trust

You will possess excellent communication, organisational and clinical skills and be prepared to take a leading role in training staff.

Leading by example you will possess the confidence to make decisions, solve problems and initiate change

The opportunities offered by this position will be unique and invaluable to the successful applicant.

The post will provide excellent opportunity to develop existing management skills and influence medicines management practice within the ward environment                      

You will have previous experience of working within a clinical environment and will have a determination to provide a first class service to patients, carers and colleagues.                                                                                                                                Evidence of multi-disciplinary teamwork would be advantageous.

Training and support will be given. A commitment to continuing professional development is essential.
