Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. Consultant in Palliative Medicine

Based at Trinity Hospice, Low Moor Road, Blackpool, FY2 0BG with contract held by Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Working Monday to Thursday with 1 in 6 non-resident second on call


Main duties and responsibilities of the job:

To work with Trinity Hospice, the Clinical Commissioning Groups on the Fylde Coast and Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to support the delivery of safe and effective palliative and end of life care across the local community. You will be required to support the development and implementation of the Fylde Coast End of Life Strategy, the Trinity Business Plan and the NHS 5 year forward view. You will work with the Clinical Specialist Team working in the community to review complex patients and support their GP and DN team in managing them appropriately.

Skills, qualifications and experience needed:
The successful candidate will have a Medical Degree qualification, full GMC registration, be on the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of being eligible to be on the register.

DBS at Enhanced Level will be required for this post
