Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients. Applications are invited for the position of Band 7 Sonographer to join our team, where you will work in a multidisciplinary environment that is challenging, rewarding, enjoyable and where your professional skills are respected.

The successful candidate will join the Ultrasound team team in providing a comprehensive imaging service responsive to the needs of the patient.

Hours of duty are 37.5hrs per week, working 5 week days between the hours of 8.30am-5pm but with potential expansion to cover weekend. Part time hours would be considered.

Candidates must have a Pg Dip in Medical Ultrasound and be registered with the HCPC.

The department has just completed a significant equipment investment programme and is committed to training and the development of the profession.
