ABOUT THE POST:

The Lancashire Cardiac Centre is a tertiary cardiac provider for the people of Lancashire & Cumbria. The centre has a well-established invasive and non-invasive services covering a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services, these include;

Cardiac angiography & intervention, including Primary PCI with on-call, TAVI, ASD/PFO/LAA closure, device implants including ICD’s and CRT’s, device follow-ups, EP simple and complex, including Mapping, Laser and CRYO techniques. Echocardiography, including TOE, contract/bubble and DSE. All these areas are developing rapidly with new technology.

Due to one of our staff relocating there is an opportunity for a Band 6 Cardiac Physiologists within the Cardiac Investigations Unit . Candidates should have good experience in cardiology procedures and are looking to progress their career in a speciality such as  Echocardiography,  Pacing and or Electrophysiology.

We are looking for Physiologists who will relish the challenge of being part of our busy team that will be taking our department forward into the future. The post holder will possess BSc in clinical physiology or equivalent and be on the RCCP register

As a multidisciplinary department the successful candidate will be expected to work unsupervised in most areas and developed in the field of speciality. Candidates who may lack experience in some areas will be provided with training plans devised by our training manager to address their training needs.
