Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. LOCUM CONSULTANT UROLOGICAL SURGEON

This is a locum post to commence as soon as possible for the next 12 months  in the first instance and will work alongside our Consultant team to provide general urological services.

The post holder will participate in a 1:6 emergency rota and will be based at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, working within a purpose-built diagnostic urology unit. The creation of the unit has allowed considerable flexibility in our provision of outpatient services, special interest clinics and expansion of ‘one-stop’ clinics. Surgically within the unit we perform open and laparoscopic upper tract surgery, PCNL, benign open pelvic surgery and as well as a full range of endoscopy and functional urology/ continence.

Applicants should have a broad experience of Urological Surgery and must be on the GMC Specialist Register or be within six months of eligibility for inclusion.

This is a full time post (10 Programmed Activities) with additional programmed activities available subject to negotiation with the successful candidate, however applications from potential candidates wishing to work on a part-time basis will be considered.
