Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester.  Band 4 Rotational Pharmacy Technician

Full time (37.5 hours/week) Weekend and Bank Holiday working on rota basis

As a forward thinking and progressive pharmacy department we are seeking to expand the current team in order to further develop our services.

We are looking for a motivated pharmacy technician to join our friendly, caring and supportive team. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work under pressure in a positive manner and be keen to develop yourself. Ideally you should have hospital experience, but this is not essential.

For band 4 technicians we offer a rotational programme, which provides excellent structured training for future career advancement. Experience will be gained in dispensing, clinical trials, patient counselling, sterile & non-sterile production, parenteral nutrition and cytotoxic reconstitution and ward based services.

We recognise the vital role of the pharmacy technician and are strongly committed to training and development.

The following are essential: BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or NVQ level III supported by appropriate underpinning knowledge, with at least two years relevant experience working in a pharmacy e.g. whilst training to qualify as a Pharmacy Technician or other, and be registered the General Pharmaceutical Council.
